Lose FatHow can you lose fat, without spending a fortune on gimmicks, diets, powders, machines, memberships, and who knows what else? The key to this is understanding how and why your body stores fat. There are several factors at work:
|
|||||||||
We'll cover each of these briefly, below. Here are the areas you need to focus on, if you want to lose fat the smart way: 1. Total calories in vs. total calories out.This is simple math. You must burn more calories than you take in. So, portion control is key. Stop eating until you are full! If you eat one serving of protein and limit that to something the size of your fist, you will be on the right track. You do not need to fill that 10-inch dinner plate to capacity.
2. Insulin effect.Most folks eat too much sugar. Period. Do a search online for the Glycemic Index, and make a point of eating foods that are very low on that index. This means apples instead of bananas, sweet potatoes instead of Idaho potatoes, and so on. Also, don't eat a carbohydrate by itself!
3. Timing.Eat most of your carbohydrates in after intense exercise. Try to eat six smal meals a day, rather than 3 big ones. Try not to eat 2 hours before bedtime. Always eat breakfast. If you like fruit juices, remember they are loaded with sugar--so drink them with breakfast or after intense exercise and at no other time.
4. Sneaky products.Jack LaLanne says, "If it's made by man, I
don't eat it." The less refined a food is, the better. Read the
labels on your foods. Most bread is loaded with multiple kinds of sugars,
plus hydrogenated oils--pure poison! That Osteoporosis in a Can made by
Coca Cola, Pepsi, and some other companies is loaded with sugar unless you
get the "Diet" versions. Mountain Dew not only robs your bones
of calcium (as do all other colas), but it is one of the most sugar-dense
drinks available.
5. Lifestyle changes.Incorporate exercise into your lifestyle. Parking farther out, taking the stairs instead of the elevator, and walking your dog or going with someone who is walking theirs all will add up! If you just can't tear yourself away from the television, do stretching exercises, sit-ups, pushups, and walking in place while you are watching the show.
6. SupplementationWith today's depleted soils and nutrient-destroying food distribution system, your diet can't provide all the nutrients you need. That's why we supply supplements. We have very low prices. OK, so this is a plug. But, it's one for your health as much as for our sales! Let's work together to get you that lean body you really want. Look your best, feel your best, and enjoy life. |

Article AuthorshipThe articles on this site are authoritative, because:
Where an article is not bylined with a specific author's name, it was written by Mark Lamendola (see photos on home page and elsewhere on this site). Mark is a 4th degree blackbelt, has not been sick since 1971, and has not missed a workout since 1977. Just an example of how Mark knows what he's talking about: In his early 50s, Mark demonstrated a biceps curl using half his body weight. That's a Jack LaLanne level stunt. Few people can even come close. If you want to know how to build a strong, beautiful body, read the articles here. |
