This diet claims you have to put certain kinds of foods together and avoid pairing other foods. The theory is that you are matching foods so as not to upset the ideal level of stomach acidity acidity.

Well, wake up, kiddos! Your stomach is full of--you guessed it--acid.

So, this diet is just plain stupid.

What you should do as far as food pairs is not eat carbohydrates by themselves. Eat carbs with protein. Doing so improve protein intake into the muscle and improves carbohydrate utilization while blunting the insulin response.

The Food Pairing diet won't let you do this. Avoid this diet. Not only is it nonsense, it's counterproductive.
