This is the diet proposed by Bill Phillips in his Body For Life program and related books and videos.

This diet is very prescriptive. It tells you precisely what foods to eat. Because of that, this diet is not sustainable for, say, years on end. However, it does not claim to be. This is a prescription for a 12-week program. The idea here is to take the mental work out of food selection. The Authorized Meals Diet does that for you.

You should use this diet as the basis for a healthy lifestyle. Do not assume that Phillips is proposing the "one right way" to eat. He is simply proposing one of many "right ways" to eat, and taking the work out of it so folks have one less excuse for not changing their bad habits.
